Sierra Productiva wins second prize at the BBC's 2010 World Challenge Contest

The Yachachiq's project from Sierra Productiva has won second price at the BBC 2010 World Challenge award to NGOs that are trying to change the living conditions of the poorest.

This project teaches farmers from the Andes how to take advantage of their land and leave poverty behind. During our trip to Cusco (that includes Machu Picchu), we visit Sierra Productiva's projects and learn about the 18 ways of producing in such hard conditions and how the NGO is helping the peasants' lives.
