we better be partying during orientation..and its usually on any international flight i've been on the drinking age depends on which country you leave from so in our case on the way there it would be 21 and on the way back 18 and from what my program advisor mentioned it seemed that way too.but I may be wrong so we shall see

i heard that the drinking age on qantas flights is 18, but that sometimes alcoholic drinks are free and sometimes not

You think we can party during orientation? I mean, come on, what better way to get to know each other?!

why wait till we get there when we can start on the plane?

I am definitely down for that!!! Nothing like have a cocktail party that you can't get in trouble for because we'll all be of age :)

that's true! I have never been to LAX so I didn't think about how big the airport was and how long it'd take for baggage claim!

yea my friends and I have about the same but gives you time to pick up your bags from baggage claim which takes forever in LAX and the check in and grab food. By then you will only have a few hrs left and they will prob start boarding the plane around 9:45ish.
