IFSA-Butler is pleased to announce world-renowned archaeologist Zahi Hawass will present a private tour and lecture to Egypt program students during orientation in January 2010. Dr. Hawass currently serves as Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, and directs ongoing excavations at Giza, Saqqara, and in the Valley of the Kings. He has also made a number of major discoveries over the course of his career, including the Tombs of the Pyramid Builders at Giza and the Valley of the Golden Mummies at Bahariya Oasis. You can find more information on Hawass at his Web site (www.drhawass.com) or view an interview with Dr. Hawass here (http://www.wishtv.com/dpp/on_tv/king_tut/Extended_Interview_with_Dr_Zahi_Hawass_4)
